"Thudley Jumping" is a glitch found on 05/01/2011 by TheWario. it consists of pressing "1" to cancel a Thudley ground pound in order to obtain a ground frame to flip on. This can be repeated infinitly, essentially allowing for infinite height.

<h1>Execution</h1>
Press "1" in midair to use Thudley. A few frames before Mario starts falling, "1" needs to be pressed again to cancel the ground pound, followed by "A" 4 frames later to flip on the singular ground frame.

<h1>Intended Route</h1>
Flip to 3D in the first room, jump on the flip blocks, go into the pipe. In there, kill the enemies, get the key and go through the key door outside the pipe. Use the flip panels at the right wall of the room to gain height, jump on the plattforms to the left and go through the pipe to the background. Go to the right and activate the switch. Walk back to the pipe and enter the door on the right. Proceed to the right in the next room. After going through the door, go through the pipe past the pond, and jump in the middle of the room to spawn another pipe. Go through it, kill the Blowmeba and obtain Boomer. Go back to the surface, use Boomer on the bricks on the right, go through the door, boomer through the floor and hit the switch. Enter the newly appeared door and hit the star block to finish the stage.

<h1>Quirks</h1>
<h2>Z Manipulation</h2>
With normal 2D Z Jumps, the movement stops when it meets the threshold which also applies in 3D. However, tapping right at the start of the Z Jump, followed by repeated frame perfect jumps upon touching the ground allows movement up to ~9.89 units into the wall.
<h2>X Clipping</h2>
Slight taps right or left during a 2D Z Jump ignore collision, allowing movement up to ~9.217 units into the wall. Doing this underwater can lead to full OOB clips.
